We’re pleased to announce the following appointments, schedule, and pricing for the 2020 representative team season.
Coaching and Management
Canterbury U18 Representative Team (birth years 2003-2005)
- Head Coach: Robbie Banks
- Manager: Neil Carey
Canterbury U15 Representative Team (birth years 2006 and later)
- Head Coach: Jesse Norcliffe
- Manager: Yvette Hodge
Other volunteer appointments, including assistant coaches, will be made in coordination with these appointed volunteers.
The CIHA committee congratulates and thanks these individuals and wishes them and their teams the best of luck for a competitive and fun season.
Practice Schedule and Pricing The U15 and U18 teams will have shared-ice practices as follows:
- Sundays 9:45-11:00a from July 26th through September 13th and then Fridays 5:45-7:00p on September 18th and 25th
- $100 for 10 sessions (12.5 hours of ice)
- A tryout might be held if the number of registered players exceeds the amount needed for a team
- Players assigned to a representative team will be invoiced for the full amount (no casuals); players not assigned to a team will be invoiced at a rate of $10 per scheduled practice session on and before the day of tryout
- Practices held at Alpine Ice Sports Centre, 496 Brougham Street, Christchurch
National Tournament National League Tournament competition is being finalised, but is tentatively expected to be held in Dunedin as follows:
- U15: October 1-4, 2020
- U18: October 8-11, 2020
This schedule is subject to change. Players selected for the U15 and U18 Representative Teams are expected to participate in and pay a separate, additional fee for this tournament.
