CIHA is pleased to announce Power Skating Clinics led by Robbie Banks, Player-Coach of the Canterbury Red Devils.
What is "Power Skating"? Great hockey players are first and foremost great skaters. Power Skating training increases skating power, speed, efficiency, and agility by teaching players how to properly use their skate blades, muscles, and body alignment to their best advantage. Coach Banks has previously taught Power Skating clinics in the U.S. and more recently implemented his programme with the Red Devils this year. Now it's your turn.
These sessions will have a strict limit on the number of skaters to ensure high-quality training and individualised coaching. We recommend you register early to avoid disappointment.
All sessions will be held at Alpine Ice Sports Centre. This is an ice hockey skating clinic; do not expect shooting, stickhandling, or games.
There will be two clinics held per week, an "A Clinic" and "B Clinic". Please sign up for the programme appropriate for your experience level. CIHA and Coach Banks reserve the right to move registrants to the other session if deemed more appropriate.
